Peat and Sod are just a couple of the various crafting materials to discover in Fields of Mistria, a charming and wholesome RPG farm sim by NPC Studio. The first time you'll probably come across Peat and Sod is when accepting Celine's Request for Gardening Materials, who wants them for her potting soil mix. Chances are you'll want to learn how to get Peat and Sod as quickly as possible so you can tick off another quest and gain increased Renown for the town. Celine also throws in a Tulip and Daffodil as a reward for your efforts, which make great gifts if you're hoping to romance one of Fields of Mistria's characters.

How to Get Clay in Fields of Mistria
If you need to complete the Request for Art Supplies side quest in Fields of Mistria, you've come to the right place.
While it can be a bit tricky to find the location of Peat and Sod at first, fortunately, there are a couple of different ways to grab these handy crafting materials, which is handy depending on what tools you have.
Where To Find Peat And Sod In Fields Of Mistria (Request For Gardening Materials Quest)
Whether you're looking for some crafting materials or working through Celine's Requesting for Gardening Materials quest, there are a few different places where you can find Peat and Sod in Fields of Mistria, as outlined below:
Unearth Dig Spots
The quickest way to get Peat in Fields of Mistria is to buy a shovel or use your pickaxe. Whichever option you choose, you can use your pickaxe or shovel to unearth small dig spots inrandomized areas of the map that look like miniature hills to give you various possible finds, including Peat and Sod. This even includes the beach, where it's also possible to find Peat.
You'll know if you found Peat if it looks like a plain brown brick and or Sod if it looks like a chunk of grass.
Visit The Dig Site
Another location where you can find Peat or Sod is in the small Dig Site in the Western Ruins as pictured on the map above. The Dig Site usually has a couple of dig spots that you can search with your pickaxe or shovel, so it's another place worth checking in addition to wider dig spot locations on the map.
While unearthing dig spots for Peat and Sod, you might also find other goodies such as Unidentified Artifacts, Clay, or even Shards, so you may need to dig up several different spots.
Search The Mines
If you've unlocked the Mines in Fields of Mistria, you can sometimes get Peat or Sod by breaking rocks there. Sometimes you'll just get stone, or ores like Copper Ore, but rocks can also drop Peat or Sod. You'll probably have to destroy several rocks before Peat or Sod spawns which can use a lot of stamina, so you might prefer to try searching for dig spots instead. It's also worth making sure you've got plenty of space to carry more stuff in Fields of Mistria to avoid destroying items you might prefer to keep or making the trip home early.
Once you've grabbed at least one Peat and Sod, return to Celine to turn in the quest for your rewards.
